Medication is one part of a complete weight-management plan
GLP-1 and related incretin medications can be effective tools for selected adults with obesity or with overweight plus a qualifying weight-related condition. They are not appropriate for every patient, and choosing a medication involves more than selecting the product with the largest number in a clinical trial.
Mindfuse Health reviews weight history, metabolic risk, previous treatment, medications, gastrointestinal history, pregnancy plans, relevant laboratory information, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and other health factors before a prescribing decision is made.
Who may be considered for prescription weight-management therapy?
Many FDA-approved obesity medications are indicated for adults with a BMI of 30 kg/m² or greater, subject to the specific product label.
Some adults with a BMI of 27 kg/m² or greater may qualify when at least one weight-related medical condition is present.
Medical history, contraindications, pregnancy plans, medications, prior treatment, and the ability to complete follow-up all matter.
Weight-management medication is generally considered alongside nutrition, movement, sleep, behavior, and ongoing monitoring.

Weight change varies substantially between individuals. Study populations, durations, doses, statistical methods, diabetes status, adherence, and lifestyle interventions differ across trials.
Why our program does not routinely use compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide
FDA has determined that the national shortages of tirzepatide injection and semaglutide injection are resolved, and the temporary shortage-based enforcement-discretion periods for routine copies ended in 2025. Mindfuse therefore does not routinely use compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide as substitutes for commercially available FDA-approved products.
Compounding rules can still allow limited patient-specific circumstances under applicable federal and state law. This page should not be read as a statement that every compounded preparation is unlawful.
